Hi! I'm Tarika, also known as One Dope CPA in the online world. I have been an Accountant for 15  years, however I'm not your average accountant... I'm doper. In my corporate jobs I always had a knack for teaching fiscal topics to those without finance backgrounds. Now, I am wanting to use that same gift to help others outside the corporate setting. Currently, I am on a mission to teach financial literacy in under-served communities. My goal is to increase the knowledge of financial concepts in the urban community, which will in turn assist with bridging the wealth gap.

Commas Consulting is the off spring of a private Facebook group I created back in 2017 out of sheer laziness.  Because I am an Accountant people would always ask me about financial topics. Often times I would get the same question multiple times.  I created the group so that when people ask me a question I already answered I could just add them to the group and direct them to the post, instead of answering again... I know... super lazy.  But creating the post kept people from calling me back to be like what did you say again? They could easily just refer back to post, so to me it was worth it.  Commas Consulting is just me basically taking the group live by teaching in person classes, hosting webinars,  and writing ebooks. 

   It's lit! Learn the lingo...and bridge the gap.  The economic inequality gap exists largely due to lack of knowledge.  Rule number 1 to playing any game is to never play a game without first knowing the rules.  I make learning financial literacy fun by teaching complex financial topics in easy to comprehend terms, and by using real life day to day scenarios.  All my classes are lit af  (by that I mean they focus on financial literacy, accounting, and finance... lol I know what you thought that af meant).  They are also held in dope lounge and learn locations.
